This month we’re excited to announce a brand new experience, Relationship Maps - this game-changing solution doesn’t exist anywhere else in the industry and we’ll dig into just a few of the powerful ways you can use it! We’ve also got a few smaller updates to Beneficiary Maps as you can now view contingent beneficiaries and provide Client Portal access.
Let’s dive in….
Announcing Relationships. Formerly known as “members”, we’ve expanded this experience from a standard list view to a fully interactive and integrated Maps view. We designed this plug-and-play experience to be quick, collaborative, and easy to update during your client meetings. Relationship Maps helps you as the advisor, understand the motivations, priorities, and interdependencies that influence every client decision as it’s being made. Expand your conversations beyond the typical participants in financial planning to foster a deeper understanding of your client's broader network.
Start by toggling in the top right corner from list view to Map view and you can begin transforming the household data that already exists in your Asset-Map report into a visual, connected diagram giving you a clear view of the most critical people, entities, and relationships in your client’s life.
You’ll notice our default map suggestion pulls in a household's primary and secondary members, with all of the other members and entities stacked in the toolbar below. With a simple click, the member moves onto the map and you can drag it around to your desired position. Any member or entity can be edited, viewed, or deleted directly in the map using the icons that pop up over each tile as you roll over it. This provides access to the same member module you’re already used to in the Asset-Map Report to grab important relationship details, notes, integration data, and external links with ease. Alternatively, you can add or create new members, entities, or other financial professionals using the Add buttons in the middle of the toolbar. To add even more flexibility, you can also simply drop in a text box so that you can customize your map in groups, or facilitate specific planning discussions using it like a note box.
Our default map suggestion is a Family Tree organized by generation highlighting both immediate and extended family members, business associates, trust relationships, and other relevant connections to discuss matters like generational wealth transfer, estate planning, or business succession plans. But up to 10 separate maps can be created using the “New* Map and “Change Map” buttons to toggle between them, helping you to provide not only a visual aid, but context-driven advice around pertinent investment, insurance, tax, and legal matters.

Next up, we have a few updates to another recently released feature - our Beneficiaries visualization.
We’ve added a toggle so that you can view either Primary or Contingent Beneficiaries on both the List View and Map View formats - a useful differentiation to help you keep conversations focused.
Additionally, you can now offer the Beneficiaries view to your clients in the Client Portal. To do so, update your permissions for Client Portal in settings, and check Beneficiaries Print or View to make these available. Printing in PDF format with the list view is available for both you and your clients.
We’ve got another set of big updates to come next month including some changes to views available in the Sidebar window, as well a new option to add Legal information. So be sure to check back each month to get the latest updates.
That’s all for this time, see you next month.
