This month, we have a variety of smaller updates to enhance your client meetings, as well as back-office enhancements across the platform. A conglomeration of little changes you've been asking for and those we know will improve utility - from notes to property, Drafts to Client Portal... Let’s dive into our meeting-focused enhancements first….

____________

Kicking this off with the most requested update that had our Customer Success team screaming with excitement - we've upgraded our popular notes functionality, including adding color, changing font styles, and being able to add bulleted or numbered lists, helping you keep track of the moving parts, people, and goals of your client's financial life in a more formatted and visual way. The notes functionality still sits within the modal at the moment, but it will be added to the Sidebar area later this year.

Next up, we have adjusted a naming convention, so instead of the term "real estate" you'll now find the term "Property" throughout the platform. While real estate is often the bulk of a client's net worth, we're making it easier to capture more aspects of their financial life including vehicles, boats, valuable art, and collectibles. Like real estate, these assets often have liabilities and P&C insurances associated with them, and now all of those can easily be modeled in Asset-Map too. You'll notice this change in the asset instrument type, in the Asset-Map Report legend, and in the Balance Sheet.

Moving onto Drafts, a feature we released last year - it is a very common way for advisors to model their financial advice to their clients without affecting the underlying data established in the Asset-Map. Previously, the functionality allowed you to add, remove, or edit changes to assets, liabilities, cash flows, and insurance. Well, we are now adding the ability to model changes to Members and Entities as well. This is likely to be especially valuable to model the additions of Trusts, establishing an LLC, C-Corp, or S-Corp, or selling an existing business.

And finally, for front-end changes that can improve your visual story-telling in the moment - we've made it extra easy to open and close the Sidebar for use during meetings. Sidebar is great for adding or editing instruments without obfuscating the Asset-Map Report, as well as helping the client see the connections between their financials and goals through Signals and Target-Maps. To open or close the functionality, just click on the small arrow at the bottom. Or to close out of specific features, use the X in the top right corner. We've also added the ability to easily provide access to the Client Portal - by clicking on a member with the Sidebar open, you can easily send a direct link on the spot and even guide your client through the simple process while they're with you. Sidebar has been a game-changer for many advisors so far in the few months since we released it, but we want to know how it's going -- so please do click on this comment icon at the bottom of the Sidebar to let us know.

Speaking of Client Portal, we've made that more beneficial for the back-end of your business, too. Navigating to the Household Index, you'll find the ability to track the client's last log-in to the Client Portal, so you can see and sort portal usage across your entire book of business.

And for our firm-level customers, we've taken our Household Book of Business functionality a step further improving transfer capabilities to shift either one, several, or all households from one advisor to another within your firm with a few clicks. Simple!
